Elijah Foundation News & Updates:

First EF office! (January 1 2012)

With the addition of our new staff Su Hkawng, we have opened our first office here in Chiangmai, Thailand. We are excited about the possibilities of expanding our ministries but more importantly the quality of what we do. Through planning for training of our orphanage staff to expanding our ministry here in Chiangmai, we are hoping to make mature disciples for Jesus Christ. Please continue to pray for us that we will always be in line with God's perfect and wonderful will. Happy New Year and many blessings in 2012!

New Playground for Sunflower Orphanage (December 2011)

We are delighted to be able to build a new playground for our young children at Sunflower Orphanage in Vietnam. We had planned for this for a while but weren't able to until now. What a wonderful Christmas present for our kids! Thank you for making this possible for our young ones.

Prayer for our Shapan Orphanage in Burma (November, 2011)

Our Shapan Orphanage is in difficult situation due to the renewed armed conflict between Kachin Army and Burmese Army. Kachin State, which Shapan is located, has no language and cultural connection with Burma but was lumped together as one country after the WWII. They were given autonomy to govern independently but Burma has never recognized this and wants full control over Kachin and it's natural resources. There were temporary ceasefire in place but over the summer of 2011, armed conflict started again and our orphanage is in one of the centers of this conflict. Please pray for the safety of our children and for peace in this poor state. For more information and up to date news about Kachin, you can visit: www.kachinnews.com.

New partnership with re:ACTS Ministry for Khaodee Orphanage (October 1, 2011)

Elijah Foundation has been supporting Khaodee by providing food, shelter, and education for the children of Khaodee since 2001.  This past June (2011), members of re:ACTS Ministries and Pastor Danny of Elijah foundation met to discuss our common heart and love for Khaodee.  It was during this meeting that God formed a partnership between re:ACTS Ministries and Elijah Foundation to support Khaodee together.
In our partnership, Elijah Foundation will shift our focus to fully funding Khaodee's college ministry, to help disciple and mentor the smaller group of older children of Khaodee. re:ACTS Ministries will now focus on providing for the food, shelter, and education cost of the rest of the 80 children at Khaodee.  We are excited to see how God will use this partnership for His glory!
About re:ACTS Ministry: this group has fallen in love with Khaodee since their first visit about 5 years ago and have been a constant presence at Khaodee. They have organized as a 501 C 3 non profit organization this year (2011). For more information about re:ACTS ministry and to support Khaodee’s general operation, please visit:

This is the most college students we ever had at one time and management has been overwhelming. We are looking for a new house in Chiang Rai to house all 13 students and 1 staff and are raising support to send our students to college. Please consider partnering with us to send our students to college. If interested in partnering in this special way, CLICK HERE.

Special Meals can be arranged at our orphanages (March, 2011)

To feed an entire orphanage of growing children (ranging from 70 to 100 children) and their helping staffs everyday, it takes tremendous amount of energy, effort, and resources. Due to the tremendous rising cost of food, it is very difficult to provide an exceptional menu other than the basics everyday. To provide the staff some rest from cooking and to provide our children with different and yet very special meal, we have started a program in which donors can pick a menu item to provide for the entire orphanage. For a relatively low cost, a donor can feed an entire orphanage which otherwise would be out of reach for a regular meal. For a special occasions like Thanksgiving or Christmas or to celebrate a sponsor child’s or even donor/sponsor’s birthday, you can choose to bring a smile to our children who loves to eat! If interested in partnering in this special way, CLICK HERE.

Sponsor a Child in Vietnam! - We still need 27 more sponsors! (March, 2011)
